A Brilliant Afternoon of Mystery with Opus 4
At Invitation2Murder, we’re used to bringing intrigue and excitement to evening events – but there’s something uniquely special about a daytime investigation. Recently, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting a team building murder mystery for the fantastic team at Opus 4… and what an afternoon it turned out to be.
Set within the atmospheric world of Lord Bartholomew’s Hall, this immersive 1920s-themed mystery transported everyone into a glamorous yet secretive era. Beneath the elegance and charm of the setting, however, something far more sinister was unfolding.
The premise? Lord Bartholomew’s butler held knowledge that could change everything. With secrets hanging in the air and tensions rising, it wasn’t long before suspicion turned into something much darker. The question for the Opus 4 team was simple… would they uncover the truth before it was too late?
A Team That Fully Embraced the Story
From the moment the investigation began, the Opus 4 team threw themselves into the experience. And when we say they embraced it, we really mean it.
One of the highlights for us was the incredible creativity they brought to their characters. We’ve seen a lot of imaginative roles over the years, but this group raised the bar. From a classic governess to what might be a first for us – an estate mechanic – the attention to detail and enthusiasm was brilliant to watch.
It’s always amazing to see how different teams interpret the world of the mystery, and Opus 4 didn’t disappoint. Their willingness to step into character added a whole new layer to the experience, making the story feel even more alive.

Collaboration, Clues… and Plenty of Laughs
Of course, a murder mystery is about more than just the storyline – it’s about teamwork.
As clues began to surface and suspicions grew, the room quickly filled with conversation, debate, and plenty of laughter. Colleagues worked together to piece together the puzzle, question suspects, and share their theories on what really happened at Lord Bartholomew’s Hall.
It’s these moments that make events like this so powerful for team building. People connect in a completely different way – collaborating, communicating, and thinking creatively together.
And then there was Mabel the dog.
Yes, even Mabel got involved in the investigation, taking her detective role very seriously and quickly becoming a standout member of the team. It’s safe to say she added her own unique charm to the afternoon.
An Experience to Remember
We were absolutely delighted to hear how much the Opus 4 team enjoyed the experience, describing it as “fantastic” and praising the attention to detail throughout the event.
For us, that’s what it’s all about – creating something that feels immersive, engaging, and just a little bit different from the usual team building activities.
Because when people are laughing, collaborating, and fully immersed in a shared story, that’s when the real magic happens.

Did They Solve the Case?
Well… we couldn’t possibly give that away.
But let’s just say there were plenty of theories, a lot of clever thinking, and more than a few unexpected twists along the way.
A huge thank you again to everyone at Opus 4 for such a brilliant afternoon. You were an absolute joy to work with.
And if you’re thinking about your next team event… the mystery is waiting.
